re-membering the body

Migrating Light Across Oceans

Founded at a point in time where an ocean lay between my light and the unhealed cracks of the wounds that make the tapestry of me.  Rumi said ‘if all you can do is crawl, start crawling’ – wherever you are in your journey to self, know that sometimes all it takes is for you to ask for someone’s hand to hold yours whilst you regenerate – holding space for you as you incorporate all the parts of you including the growing pains of expansion as you metabolise traumatic experiences and grief. What I want for you is that your body is a place of safety, joy and pleasure. And that it is always home as you navigate your world.

‘I am what I am both as a result of people who respected me and helped me, and of those who did not respect me and treated me badly.’

— Nelson Mandela
